"Thank you for helping us repeatedly exceed our goals for donations! As a result we have now expanded the program to five schools. We are hoping to maintain this level of donation throughout the new year."
Our objective for the book donation program is to:
- To obtain significant literature and school supplies suitable to benefit the more needy schools in the Alajuela District.
- Receive donated books and class material in English, Spanish or French suitable for a school environment.
- The goal for Oct 1st 2010 is 1,000 more books, CDs, DVDs etc...
The "one wall" library for 702 students at Maurlio Soto Alfaro School. This school has Spanish and English program
School Eligibility Requirements:
To receive donations the recipient school MUST be:
- A public school, not private.
- To have demonstrated need for the type (language) of books being donated.
- To demonstrate both the ability/storage and the interest to maintain the books in a proper and safe manor.
Progress to date:
Two schools in the Montecillos district, five kilometers from our Hotel in La Garita received the following books:
